Icons

Our icon style is an extension of our illustration and infographic styles, designed to create a unified look across all graphic brand elements. Icons are created using lines instead of fill colours to distinguish them from illustrations.

While illustrations and infographic elements may contain more details, icons should always remain as simple as possible.

Icons are typically used at relatively small sizes. To ensure they are easily perceived, outlines should be thick enough to retain clarity.

Always select the most visible colour version of the icon for each background colour. Powering Green is the primary icon colour. For maximum readability, use Ivy Green on light backgrounds and white on dark backgrounds. Lavender Purple can be used as an alternative on dark backgrounds. Use black icons only when no other colour options are suitable.

Do's and Don'ts

Do prefer the Powering Green icons.

Don’t use icon colours that can’t provide enough contrast.

Do use the Ivy Green icons if Powering Green doesn’t have enough contrast.

Don't recolour the icons.

Do ensure that icons are used in appropriate proportions.

Don’t use icons in large sizes, as they are not intended to serve as large illustrative elements. In such cases, real illustrations may be a better option.
