The header is the main navigation at the top of a page that users use to make their way through the website. It typically also includes the company logo which acts as a link back to the homepage as well as search and language & region selection.
The footer is a navigational element that acts as a safety net that highlights important links for users in case they do not find what they need on a page. It also includes copyright information as well as links to legal content such as privacy and cookie information. Links to global social media accounts are often included as well.
Both the header and footer are globally and automatically implemented throughout the site.
